Tools for processing aluminum

There are many influencing factors for the choice of aluminum CNC processing tools.

Tool design
Different shapes of the tool affect the efficiency of machining aluminum. One of them is the number of grooves on the tool. In order to avoid difficulty at high speeds, there are 2-3 grooves for aluminum CNC processing. Too many grooves means that the chip channels are narrowing, which will cause large pieces of crumbs to be stuck in aluminum alloy. When the cut force is low and crumbs are crucial to the entire process, a tool with two grooves should be used. If we want to achieve a perfect balance between crumbs and tool strength, we should use three grooves.

Helix angle
The spiral angle refers to the angle formed by the straight line of the central axis of the tool and cutting the blade. This is an important feature of a tool. Although the larger spiral angle can clean the chips faster, the friction and calories during the cutting process are increased. In high -speed aluminum CNC machining, this may cause crumbs on the surface of the tool. On the other hand, the heat generated by smaller spiral angles will also be reduced, and it may not be able to effectively remove chips. When processing aluminum, the spiral angle is 35 and 40 degrees suitable for rough processing, and the 45 -degree refined processing is best.

The gap angle is another important factor in the normal work of the tool. The angle is too much to cause the tool to drill into the workpiece and make a giggle sound. On the other hand, if the angle is too small, it will cause friction between the tool and workpiece. The best rear angle of aluminum alloy CNC processing is between 6-10 degrees.

Tool material
Hard alloy is the first choice for aluminum CNC processing tools. Because aluminum is soft cutting, it is important that the tool for cutting aluminum cannot be hard, but it must have the ability to cut sharp cuts. Hard alloy knives have this ability, mainly depending on two points: alloy crystal granularity and binding agent ratio. Although the grains are larger and the materials are harder, smaller grains can ensure that the material is more tough and more resistant to impact. This is what we really need. Smaller grains allow cobalt to obtain fine grain structure and material strength.

However, cobalt reacts with aluminum at high temperature and will form aluminum crumbs on the surface of the tool. In order to reduce this reaction, the key is to use a rigid alloy knife with a cobalt content (2 ~ 20%), while maintaining the required strength. Hard alloy knives can usually bear the high -speed operation of aluminum CNC processing, which is stronger than steel tools. In addition to the materials of the tool, coating is also an important factor affecting the cutting efficiency. Nitride, titanium titanium, and diamond carbon coating are suitable for NC machining of aluminum.

A: All of our products conform to JWL/VIA standard, undergo rigorous impact test, cornering fatigue test, radial fatigue test ; Our factory is ISO/TS16949, ISO14001 TUV SFI JWL/VIA certified.

A: From the deposit received date, we will finish production within 35-45 days. If need to produce wheel mould, leadtime will takes 3-4 weeks longer.
